Attorney Rani

Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Phone: 587-393-7852

Rani Wong has been practicing law for over 21 years and has dedicated her practice to Family Law and Wills and Estates. After earning her B.A. (Honours) in Economics from Queen’s University in 1993 and her joint LL.B. and M.B.A., from the University of British Columbia in 1997, Rani began her legal career as a corporate and commercial lawyer, practicing with some of Canada’s top tier national law firms in Vancouver, Toronto and Calgary. She also practiced in the Singapore office of a New York law firm in the areas of project finance, debt restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions throughout Asia.

Rani brings her wealth of experience and knowledge to her family law practice, which includes divorce, separation, cohabitation and pre-nuptial agreements, division of matrimonial and family property, child custody, child support, spousal support, and grandparent’s rights. Rani has a particular interest in and emphasis on complex matrimonial property disputes, involving high net worth families. She also maintains a wills and estate practice to meet the needs of her clients.

Rani believes in the value of alternative dispute resolution such as mediation, arbitration and parenting coordination, in resolving family disputes. ADR allows families to settle their disputes in a more amicable, collaborative and cost-effective manner, while retaining privacy and maintaining greater control over the ultimate outcome. However, Rani recognizes the value of litigation as a necessary tool in certain family circumstances.

To assist clients in achieving a favourable result, Rani regularly works with business valuators, forensic investigators, psychologists, social workers, doctors and other experts as needed.
