Every year, the lawyers at CFLA sponsor a competition inviting high school students across Canada to provide a paper, poetry, or artwork on a topic important to the legal community. This year, the topic was “How artificial intelligence could impact access to Justice” We had amazing submissions and it was difficult to come to make final decisions; however, following are the exceptional submissions.

Catherine E. Fox, KC is a well-respected, senior family law counsel with 30+ years of experience who also trained as a Mediator/Arbitrator. With the advent of FFP, mediation has become a much sought after skill set. We all know how difficult it can be to schedule mediation for ½ or a whole day. Catherine’s mediation arbitration hourly rate is a reduced $400.00, and she has ½ day availability as early as the first week in May 2026.

She is well experienced in matters concerning domestic violence, coercive control, property settlements and agreements, divorce, parenting, support, Adult Interdependent Partners and more.
